PSC San Diego Combine attendee Jessica Brooksby has earned a trial with Women’s Champions League side and reigning Icelandic Premier League champions UMF Stjarnan.
The former Utah State midfielder will also trial with Icelandic Premier League outfit FH Hafnarfjordur during her time in Iceland, and spoke of her excitement in having the opportunity to impress coaches from two prestigious Icelandic clubs.
“I am very excited, it has always been my goal to play soccer at the professional level,” said Brooksby.
“Both of these clubs offer great opportunities to further my soccer career. I am expecting very tough competition from the current players – being with top players and coaching staff will be a great experience. I expect to learn a lot and grow as a player,” she continued.
And Brooksby spoke highly of her experience in dealing with PSC both during and after the tryouts late last year.
“My experience with PSC has been amazing,” she said.
“The tryout itself was very well organised and allowed us players to showcase ourselves in front of several professional coaches and scouts. Since then, I have been very impressed with the feedback and opportunities I have received. Simon contacted me just like he said he would and has set up these trials for me. He has made this process very smooth and I am really looking forward to the opportunities I have ahead of me,” continued Brooksby.
