“Daryl was an integral part of the team that won the regular season title in 2012,” said Cornfield. “We’re glad to welcome him back to San Antonio and we’re looking forward to seeing him in a Scorpions uniform tomorrow against the Mexican U-21 National Team.”
6’2” Sattler posted a 0.79 goals against average with 13 shutouts during the 2012 campaign. The 33-year-old native Tennessean played college soccer at Western Kentucky, where he still holds the career record for most shutouts with 19. In the past 6 months Sattler has been working with PSC in a coaching and recruitng role which has seen him travel with PSC Showcase teams to Sweden, Finland and Turkey where amongst others he worked with Zac Lubin helping him secure his first Eruopean Pro contract with IFK Lulea in the Swedish First Division.
Sattler was most recently involved in PSC’s summer combines in San Diego and Atlanta before joining up with the Scorpions. PSC Agency Staff are “ecstatic to see Daryl back in the professional game with the scorpions. Although this will limit his travel opportunites with PSC we believe Daryl still has a number of years left in him and we want to see him get as much top level exposure and experience as possible before he commits himself fully to coaching.”
