Following standout performances as part of PSC’s European Elite Showcase squad in Spain, Kevin Byrne has been recommended to, and signed by, Boden BK in Sweden.

The center back was first seen by PSC at our Orlando pro tryout where his performances stood out enough to be noticed, but not enough to be considered for professional placement directly.

PSC Agency Staff recognized the potential in Kevin and offered him a spot on one of PSC’s elite showcase squads, the next one traveling to Bilbao, Spain. On tour, Kevin had the opportunity to work with PSC’s guest professional coaches, many of whom boast EPL and La Liga playing and coaching experience, who helped the center back with his areas of development highlighted at the Orlando tryout.

Kevin responded fantastically to the professional coaching and environment and saw his performance levels improve from the level shown in Orlando.

Following these improved performances PSC Directors and Agency Staff had no hesitation in recommending Kevin to Boden BK who’s trust in PSC’s judgment saw him signed without trial.

Kevin performed well in Orlando but wasn’t quite at the level to be placed professionally. After working with coaches like Joel Lindpere, Aivar Anniste, Martin O’Connor & Lee Holmes who have EPL, MLS and over 100 National Team caps experience between them, his performances in Spain increased and he has been rewarded as a result. Much credit goes to Kevin, he not only recognized and believed in his own potential, he was receptive to advice from our coaches and staff and used it to showcase to the best of his ability. He backed himself to come to Spain and earn a pro contract, and he achieved just that”.
